Common Medical Practices Continue Even if Ineffective

A recent report posits that just because a medical practice has always been done a certain way doesn’t mean it’s correct or even beneficial. ProPublica reported that doctors often continue medical practices that “years after research contradicts” them. In fact, many of the treatments have been shown to be “ineffective or even dangerous.”
