Give Back to Your Profession and Get Paid!

Get paid $100 per day to take part in an opportunity to contribute to the profession of optometry. The State Board of Optometry (SBO) seeks doctors of optometry to serve as subject matter experts at workshops to develop, review and grade the California Law and Regulation Examination (CLRE). This is an exciting opportunity to meet ODs from around the state as well as State Board of Optometry staff. Plus, this service is a great opportunity to bolster your résumé. Many experts find the experience very rewarding and choose to return year after year.

Logistical details for serving at the workshop are:

• Location: Workshop will take place on June 27 in Sacramento.
• Travel Arrangements: SBO will complete the air and lodging arrangements, if necessary, for those who live 50 miles or more from the workshop site. Airfare is prepaid by SBO. Hotel costs and other travel expenses (meals, mileage and incidentals) will be reimbursed at California state government rates.
• Per Diem: Participants will be paid a per diem of $100.00 per day.
