Let the Updated COA Optometrist Resource Guide Propel Your Career

Every year, COA offers exclusive to COA members an updated edition of the Optometrist Resource Guide (COA member login required). The Guide offers an extensive variety of resources to aid new practitioners entering the practice of optometry and existing doctors of optometry who wish to change practice focus based on current information.

Several updates and content enhancements have been made to the Guide for 2016:

  • Added information on the new Prescription Drug Monitoring Registration Program (also known as PDMP/CURES) that affects doctors with DEA licenses.
  • Expanded the list of vision and health plans doctors of optometry may wish to explore in becoming a provider.
  • Added information on the new optometric Retired Volunteer Service Designation License.
  • Added the URL for the new state BreEZe online license application and renewal system where doctors can also make updates to their records.
  • Updated URLs, phone numbers and resource material links/references throughout the publication.

Whether you’re a recent graduate who’s looking to start practicing or you’re an OD wanting to become a Medicare provider, the 2016 Optometry Resource Guide puts you clicks away from resources to help advance your career.
