Lobby for Optometry While Networking with Colleagues at COA Legislative Day

Please mark your calendar and coordinate your travel to attend COA Legislative Day in Sacramento on Wednesday, April 20, 2016. COA Legislative Day is the perfect opportunity to either establish or fortify your relationships with lawmakers, which is critical for optometry's legislative success. In addition to lobbying for your profession, COA Legislative Day provides the opportunity to engage with your colleagues and have some fun!

The adopt-a-student program will be implemented again to pair seasoned OD advocates with optometry students. While the goal of the program is to encourage students to learn the ropes of constituent lobbying from doctors of optometry, the ODs often report feeling energized to fight for optometry by spending time with students - the future of the profession.
