State Minimum Wage Rises to $10 per Hour January 1

Pursuant to legislation enacted in 2013, effective January 1, 2016, the California minimum wage will rise to $10 per hour (the minimum salary for exempt employees increases to $41,600 per year which is two times the hourly minimum wage based on a 40 hour workweek). All employers, including doctors of optometry, are required to post in the workplace the California minimum wage poster reflecting this change.

See Required Workplace Posters Changing - Members Save Up To $100 Plus Avoidance of $17,000 in Fines” for information on obtaining employment law posters.
