AOA Anterior Segment Image Catalog available

AOA has released another quick-reference clinical tool for eye care professionals. The ophthalmic image catalog is available from the AOA Contact Lens and Cornea Section (CLCS).

The Anterior Segment Image Catalog, which is accessible via an online database, provides AOA members with clinically reviewed photographs of anterior segment conditions, including corneal ulcers, gaping radial keratotomy (RK) incisions and keratoconus, among others. Each image has been reviewed by an expert panel to ensure quality of photography and appropriate diagnosis. . Read more about the catalog by clicking here.

The project is collecting photographs, and AOA members may submit their own ocular pictures with a brief description of the image. Visit the CLCS webpage and click on the “Anterior Segment Image Catalog” banner portal to access the gallery. Select "upload images" to submit photographs for panel review.

The CLCS includes AOA member ODs and optometry students with a passionate interest in the field of contact lens, cornea, anterior segment disease, refractive surgery and related technologies. Find more information here about membership in the CLCS
