COA to host reception in support of Senator Ed Hernandez, OD, and Assembly Member Evan Low

As a part of COA’s continuing quest to support optometry-friendly legislators, we are proud to be hosting a reception in support of Senator Ed Hernandez, OD, and Assembly Member Evan Low. As a past COA president, Senator Hernandez is well known amongst the COA membership and has recently announced his candidacy for California lieutenant governor in the 2018 race. For those of you unfamiliar with Assembly Member Low, he is a newly elected rising star in Sacramento and also the son of our own Dr. Art Low of the COA Santa Clara County Optometric Society. Assembly Member Low has also recently been appointed assistant majority whip by California Assembly Speaker Toni Atkins.

Please join us in supporting these two members of our COA family on April 20, 2015, from 5:30 to 7:00 p.m. at 58 Degrees & Holding, 1217 18th Street, Sacramento – the evening prior to COA’s Legislative Day. Details can be found in the event invitation below.
