New adult exam guideline available for public review
The AOA’s next evidence-based clinical practice guideline is available for peer and public review online. Comprehensive Adult Eye and Vision Examination, the newest guideline to receive revisions from the AOA Evidence-Based Optometry (EBO) Committee, became available for a 30-day peer and public review period on Feb. 6. Comments will be accepted through March 10, 2015. This guideline describes the examination procedures for evaluation of the eye health and vision status of adult patients to ensure clear, comfortable vision. Review of the Comprehensive Adult Eye and Vision Examination guideline provides the EBO Committee with necessary feedback to know how best to reach multiple stakeholders with interest in the guideline.
