Sagging eyelids may run in families

According to a recent Health Day article, a study published online May 28 in JAMA Dermatology, concluded that sagging eyelids are more likely to "appear on men, people with fair skin and those who are overweight." The study included approximately 5,500 Caucasians from the Netherlands as well as 2,100 twins. Researchers said that the study suggests that the sagging eyelid phenomenon can be genetic. They have found "at least one gene that may play a role in causing eyelid sag."
