October 2015 official deadline for ICD-10 implementation

The U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) officially declared October 1, 2015, as the new compliance date for health care providers, including doctors of optometry and others, to begin using ICD-10 codes. As doctors know, ICD-10 represents a significant change that impacts their practice along with entire health care community.
