Paid family leave expands – most employees eligible

All employees who pay into State Disability Insurance (SDI) are covered by PFL. There are no minimum work hours or time of service requirements, but individuals must have earned at least $300 in wages during the previous 12 months. The leave is partially paid through employee contributions to SDI.
