Optometry’s Fund for Disaster Relief – A lifeline to ODs affected by natural disasters

COA Member News

Natural disasters keep doctors of optometry from doing what they do best: helping patients. After Hurricane Katrina, the American Optometric Association created Optometry’s Fund for Disaster Relief to provide immediate financial support to optometrists in need. This fund has changed the lives of many optometrists by providing immediate financial aid for critical and urgent needs such as food, clothing and shelter.

To ensure funds are available for all who need assistance, we encourage all COA-AOA members to make a tax deductible donation to Optometry's Fund for Disaster Relief. You never know where the next disaster will strike — it could affect you or your neighbor.

Consider making a donation today to Optometry Cares® – The AOA Foundation by clicking here.

Disasters can be life-altering; it is our goal to ensure that the fund is always poised and ready to help, so doctors can get back to doing what they do best.
